JEWISH DESTINATION WEDDING & PRIVATE JET WELCOME PARTY: GEORGIA & NATHAN : PORTUGAL
Georgia and Nathan’s destination wedding took us for the first time to Portugal, amidst the rural greenery 45 minutes outside the beautiful city of Porto. As luxury wedding planners we carry out extensive research when discovering a new worldly location which enables us to understand cultural, geographical, travel, and logistical requirements of wedding planning in any country across the globe.
They began treating their guests the moment their journey from London to Porto commenced. Managing guest travel logistics is a crucial aspect of destination wedding planning and organising their travel overseas was a new and exciting challenge for us! Working with Titan Airways we assisted in chartering and organising a private flight welcome event at 37,000ft for all 117 guests. Champagne on arrival, breakfast bagels, nostalgic photos of the bride and groom printed onto the seats headrests, and a live singer. making for a truly unforgettable experience and the highest party we have ever planned!
G&N reached out to us not only to help manage the added logistics of a luxury destination wedding but they were overwhelmed by the array of options and ideas available to them and wanted to ensure they were making cohesive choices they could be excited about throughout the process. Additionally, we were tasked with introducing and managing the logistics of their Jewish ceremony, which was an unfamiliar entity to their wedding venue, Quinta Lagos Dos Cisnes and Portuguese destination.
We flew out our wonderful Rabbi Hannah who officiated the wedding ceremony which took place in Binas Garden, a tropical glasshouse paradise, secluded tapestry of nature and beauty. G&N alongside their parents stood under our chuppah, adorned with wild fuchsia and cerise pink florals. It was the epitome of romance and memorable emotion whilst they exchanged their vows beneath a glinting crystal chandelier encased in cream drapes.
On our many visits to Portugal together trying many flavours of sangria very much became a wedding planning tradition. At the drinks reception guests were greeted with trays of sour green apple, exotic passionfruit, rich red berries and citric yuzu flavours. After an hour of sipping and listening to the tones of a saxophone the pure electricity of Israeli dancing unfolded.
Every occasion we plan is centred around curating a beautiful, sensory, personalised experience that focuses on making your guests FEEL. Georgia & Nathan’s evening began to unfold in a symphony of joyful tears, laughter, and merriment as guests revelled in the celebration. A tequila shot escort wall helped guests find their seats as they entered into the glass lantern and floral-filled yurt flickering with candlelight, and the soothing sounds of the indoor waterfall. Each name place card was an old-fashioned cinema ticket to represent our couple’s love for cinema dates and movie nights at home, and the menus housed illustrations inspired by a Portugese tile that resides in the brides family Algarve
Georgia and Nathan wanted to incorporate a Portuguese tradition of a hosting a cake-cutting ceremony as part of their day. Standing in the centre of a water fountain after dinner G&N were looked upon by guests holding glinting glasses of champagne whilst they had their first dance and cut their cake with a backdrop of cascading fireworks.
