A CONTEMPORARY MARQUEE WEDDING AT HOLYWELL HALL: MEGAN & ASHLEY
Megan and Ashley reached out to us to be their marquee wedding planners for a celebration at a dry-hire venue. Their vision had a strong focus on music and exquisite design. Megan, with her fashion and creative background, wanted every aspect of the day to reflect their personal style and passion for fashion. Having previously planned events at Holywell Hall, and knowing how perfectly it complemented the glamour of Megan's aesthetic, it was an absolute delight to take on this project for them.
Holywell Hall is an exclusive British country house wedding venue, renowned for its exquisite gardens and grounds. The picturesque and magical setting provides the perfect backdrop for a marquee wedding. This cherished family home has been meticulously renovated with a stunning Art Deco twist and the on-site accommodation includes luxurious amenities such as a bowling alley, sauna, and steam room, ensuring an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.
For her wedding day, Megan chose a dress from the couture bridal fashion house BERTA, renowned for its avant-garde designs that are bold, sexy, and modern, yet incorporate classic vintage materials and retro styles. Megan dazzled in her stunning embellished floral gown, which beautifully skimmed her curves and perfectly complemented our entire wedding design. In the evening, she changed into a chic Vivienne Westwood silhouette short dress. Ashley wore a tailored black tux from Whitfield & Ward with velvet and silk detailing, Christian Louboutin patient black shoes with that famous red sole, and Rolex watch.
Holywell Hall boasts a beautiful chapel, St. Wilfrid's, nestled within its grounds. For their wedding ceremony, we transformed the back of the church with a floral backdrop of naturally wild greenery and lush blousy blooms in our chosen colour scheme. Adding a personal touch, the groom Ashley's aunt officiated their traditional wedding ceremony. Megan walked down the aisle to a strings player performing "Turning Page" by Sleeping At Last, symbolizing the beginning of their new chapter together.
M&A love visiting London together and admire the grandeur of ballrooms at venues like Claridge's and The Mandarin Oriental. Their home reflects a contemporary, clean, and neutral style, evident in both their interiors and fashion choices. For their wedding, rows of elegantly set tables awaited guests beneath a marquee ceiling adorned with drapes and featuring two magnificent crystal empire chandeliers. The focal bar installation showcased an arrangement of toffee, ivory, and white roses. The place settings housed textured glass and embellished white plates, accentuated by black velvet bows and slate grey napkins with Vogue-inspired monochrome stationery.
The evening was masterfully orchestrated by The Function Band, who electrified the atmosphere from dinner through to the late-night festivities. Their ensemble, featuring four dynamic vocalists and talented instrumentalists, delivered an impromptu jam session for all 100 guests during the main course. Seamlessly blending and mixing M&A’s favourite R&B tracks with the finesse of seasoned DJs, they sent their guests into a frenzy of excitement. The band's high-energy performance kept the dance floor packed and created an unforgettable epic party experience that resonated long into the night.
SHE REALLY TAKES HER TIME TO MAKE YOUR WEDDING PERSONAL TO YOU
‘ From the minute we met Emily we knew she’d be the wedding planner for us! She was attentive, creative and very easy to get on with.
I thought I was going to be extremely fussy with design as I work in the creative industry myself, but wow she produced her initial ideas and straight away they were just us! Looking at images of her other weddings and how they are all so different, you can tell she really takes time to make your wedding personal to you.
The day of the wedding couldn’t have been any more perfect. Emily & her team had everything under control. The suppliers she had suggested executed the ideas amazingly and we didn’t have to worry about anything other than being present and enjoying our day.
I can’t even tell you how stress free she makes the wedding planning process. There is not one thing that is too big or too small for her to sort out. Im sure that half of the problems, I wouldn’t have even been aware of! It wasn’t until we went to the 18 page ‘wedding bible’ which included all of timelines and suppliers, where I thought wow the level of organisation and time it would have taken to bring everything together.
We can’t thank her enough!’
